Meet Your Provider
Dr. Megan Godsey, PT, DPT
Hi, I'm Megan! 👋🏼
I'm the founder of Megan Godsey Physical Therapy, PLLC dba Move Well Physical Therapy, and I help women and teens navigate the complex impact of hypermobility, chronic pain, and related conditions so they can move with more confidence, strength, and control.
Around the time I turned 18, I began experiencing seemingly unrelated pain, injuries, and joint issues that were further exacerbated by years spent flying as a crewmember in military helicopters, pregnancies, and periods where I tried to strength train faster than what my body would tolerate. I wasn't diagnosed with hEDS until much later, as no provider ever seemed to look at me as a whole person, but as a single complaint at a time. I now live with a greater understanding of what is appropriate for my body when it comes to pain management, strength and stabilization, and how to manage my energy levels. My husband and both of my sons are all hypermobile as well, and I've gained a great understanding of how every person is impacted differently and requires a different approach to managing these things.
I believe your symptoms are real, and that understanding how your body works is the first step toward creating a plan that actually fits your needs. My approach combines individualized movement assessment, targeted exercise programming, education, and supportive coaching to help you build strength, improve stability, manage flares, and feel more confident in your body. Rather than focusing only on where it hurts, we’ll look at the bigger picture and create strategies that support your long-term health and goals.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, trying to better understand your hypermobility, or looking for ways to stay active while managing chronic symptoms, my goal is to help you move well and build a stronger relationship with your body.
If you’re ready to better understand your symptoms, build resilience, and feel more confident with movement, I’d love to help.
